This summer's coffee rotation
Three new beans on bar from June, including a peach-sweet washed Ethiopia we have not been able to stop drinking.
We rotate coffee every six weeks or so. Long enough to get to know a bean properly, short enough that there’s always something new to try. From this week, three changes on the bar.
House blend — Square Mile, Red Brick. Heritage choice. Dark chocolate, dried fruit, the kind of cup that holds up under milk. This is what is going into your flat white unless you ask otherwise.
Filter single-origin — Drop, Banko Gotiti. A washed Ethiopia from the Yirgacheffe area. Bright, peach-sweet, light enough that we are pulling it through V60 rather than batch. Ask for it when you order.
Decaf — Assembly, Mexico Decaf. Sugarcane process, which keeps more of the flavour than ethyl-acetate. Marzipan and apricot, surprisingly fruity for a decaf.
If you want to brew any of these at home, we have bags on the shelf by the door, ground to order or as beans.
